Payment Options

The Paris Board of Public Utilities (Paris BPU) is committed to making bill payment simple, flexible, and convenient. We offer multiple payment options designed to fit a wide range of schedules and preferences—so you can choose what works best for you.

MyBPU

Manage your account anytime, anywhere.

MyBPU is Paris BPU’s secure online bill payment system, giving you 24 hour, 7 days a week access to your utility account. With MyBPU, you can pay your bill, review your payment history, and monitor your utility usage—all from one convenient location.

MyBPU is accessible on desktop and laptop computers, as well as through the mobile app on both iOS and Android devices. Whether you’re at home, at work, or on the go, MyBPU keeps your account information within reach.

Please note: Payments made with a credit or debit card are subject to a $3.95 processing fee charged by the third-party payment processor. This fee is not retained by Paris BPU and is passed directly to the processing company.

Bank Draft

Automatic payments, right on time.

With Bank Draft, your monthly Paris BPU payment is automatically deducted from your checking or savings account on the working day before your due date. This free service eliminates the worry of late payments.

To enroll, you’ll need a blank, voided check from your active account and your signature on the draft authorization form at Paris BPU. Once set up, your payment happens automatically—no stamps, no reminders, no missed due dates.

Pay by Phone

Fast, secure payments—24 hours, 7 days a week.

Pay your Paris BPU utility bill by phone using a credit or debit card anytime, day or night. Simply call (855) 940-3792, have your account number ready, and follow the automated prompts to complete your payment.

The pay-by-phone system accepts most major credit and debit cards. Please note that in-office Customer Support Representatives are unable to take payments over the phone.

Please note: A $3.95 processing fee applies to credit and debit card payments and is charged by the third-party processor, not Paris BPU.

Pay by Mail

A traditional option that still works.

You may always mail your utility payment to Paris BPU. Each billing statement includes a return envelope—just apply postage and mail your payment.

Please allow sufficient mailing time to ensure your payment arrives before the due date, as late fees apply after the due date has passed.

Drop Box Payments

Convenient locations throughout Paris and Henry County.

Paris BPU accepts payments through drop boxes located at several convenient locations. Payments must be placed in the drop box on or before your due date to be considered on time.

If you receive a payment reminder after using a drop box, please contact our office to confirm that your payment has been received and posted.

Note: If paying at a local bank, please bring your utility bill with you. Late payments cannot be accepted at bank locations

Commercial Bank – NetTeller

Commercial Bank customers may pay their Paris BPU bill through NetTeller, Commercial Bank’s online bill pay service.

Payment Kiosk

Quick, self-service payments—day or night.

Paris BPU offers payment kiosks for your convenience:

• One payment kiosk is located inside the Paris BPU main lobby for debit or credit card payments.
• A second kiosk is located outside the main office for after-hours cash or card payments.

Please note: Credit and debit card payments are subject to a $3.95 processing fee charged by the third-party processor and not retained by Paris BPU.

Pay In Person

We’re always happy to help.

Customers are welcome to visit our main office at 117 E. Washington Street to make payments in person. Cash and check payments are accepted, and our staff is available to answer questions and assist you.

VanillaDirect Pay

Cash payments at participating retailers.

Paris BPU partners with VanillaDirect Pay to offer a safe and convenient way to pay your utility bill with cash at participating retailers, including Dollar General, CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart.

• Customers are charged a $1.50 convenience fee by the retailer. Each payment can be up to $500, and partial payments are accepted.
• To make a payment, you’ll need a barcode, which can be found in the MyBPU app under “Pay by Cash” and then “View Barcode.” A new barcode is required for each transaction.

Please note that retailer staff and VanillaDirect Pay representatives are not Paris BPU employees and cannot answer account-specific questions.
