aris, TN – Paris BPU is proud to announce that it has partnered with TVA, Carroll Bank and Trust, Commercial Bank, First Bank, Foundation Bank, Security Bank & Trust and the Plus Endowment to make $21,000 in community support funds available to those adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Henry County Family Resource Center along with the Paris Special School District’s Family Enrichment Center have each been awarded $10,500 to help assist families from their school systems who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Both organizations provide an array of services to the children and their families such as: housing assistance, utility assistance, food, weekend backpack food, clothing, medical assistance for children and more.
“We are extremely grateful that TVA developed the Community Care Fund to help those who have been hit the hardest by this crisis,” said Paris BPU General Manager, Terry Wimberley. “For Carroll Bank and Trust, Commercial Bank, First Bank, Foundation Bank, Security Bank & Trust and the Plus Endowment to step up and help us obtain these matching funds is a true testament to the heart and spirit of giving in our community. May many families find blessings in this unified effort.”
Funding from the local organizations mentioned above will be matched by TVA’s COVID-19 Community Care Fund, which helps local power companies meet immediate needs in their communities by providing matching funds for local initiatives addressing hardships created by this pandemic. TVA provided $10,000 in matching dollars from its Fund and Paris BPU contributed $2,500, Carroll Bank and Trust, Commercial Bank, First Bank, Foundation Bank, Security Bank each contributed $1,500 and the Plus Endowment contributed $1,000.
